FAQ

  • What happens in the Initial Assessment?

We’ll explore why you're seeking therapy, your goals, and whether CBT feels like a good fit. I’ll also ask about your experiences, challenges, and what support might work best for you. You’ll leave with a clearer idea of what therapy could look like, and you can decide if you’d like to continue.

  • How much does therapy cost?

    Initial Assessment: £150

Treatment Sessions: £100 each (booked in blocks of 3)

All booking payments include a 30% deposit, which is non-refundable.

  • How do I book therapy sessions?

Click the “Book Assessment” button to get started.

After your initial assessment, you’ll receive a link to book treatment sessions in blocks of 3.

All bookings and payments are made securely through WriteUpp using Stripe.

  • Do I need a diagnosis to start therapy?

No. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to access support.

If you're struggling and want to better understand yourself or your experiences, you're welcome here.

  • Can I stim, bring notes, or turn my camera off?

Absolutely. Therapy should work for your brain, not against it.

You’re welcome to stim, take notes, use comfort items, or keep your camera off — whatever helps you feel safe and supported.

  • What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice will retain your deposit, and the rest will be refunded.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or missed sessions will be charged in full.
If you're more than 15 minutes late, your session may need to be rescheduled and counted as a cancellation.

  • Can I bring a carer or support person?

Yes. If you need a carer present for access reasons (e.g., due to a disability), they’re welcome in all sessions. For support purposes, a family member or friend can join your initial assessment, but clients must be able to communicate with me directly — otherwise, a different kind of support may be more appropriate.

  • Is this therapy in person or online?

All therapy is online only, via secure video call.

I do not offer in-person sessions at the moment, but may in the future.

  • How often are sessions?

Sessions are typically once a week at the same time.

Occasionally, we may be able to move sessions depending on availability, but regular attendance at a set time each week is important for consistency.

  • Do you work with under-16s?

I work with clients aged 16 and over.

I have no upper age limit.

  • Is this a crisis service?

No. I am not able to offer crisis support.

If you're in immediate danger or need urgent help, please contact your GP, NHS 111, or appropriate emergency services.

  • Do you offer support for burnout, RSD, or executive functioning?

Yes. We can explore all of these areas in therapy, and sessions will be tailored to your unique needs and experiences.

  • Do I need to be neurodivergent to work with you?

Not at all. While I specialise in ADHD and autism, I’m qualified to work with anyone over 16. I offer evidence-based psychotherapy for: Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social anxiety, Health anxiety, OCD, Panic attacks, Phobias, Low self-esteem, Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and Single-incident PTSD.

  • What Type of Therapy do you offer?

My primary modality is CBT as, when sufficiently adapted, I have found works best with ADHD and Autism. I also have training/ experience in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Perinatal Psychotherapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Coaching, Counselling Psychology and working with Long Term health Conditions.

  • Is my information kept confidential?

Yes. Everything we talk about in sessions is confidential, except where there's a risk of harm or a legal obligation. Your information is securely stored and handled in line with GDPR.

  • What’s your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, I ask for at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations with less notice are charged in full. If you're running more than 15 minutes late, the session may need to be rescheduled — and this would also be treated as a late cancellation. I understand that life can be unpredictable, so we’ll always aim for flexibility where possible.

  • How do I know if CBT is right for me?

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is a structured, goal-focused therapy that helps you understand the links between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. It can be especially helpful for anxiety, low mood, OCD, panic, low self-esteem and more. If you’re unsure, we can talk it through in your initial assessment or in a free 15-minute consultation, and I’ll always be honest if I think something else might be a better fit for you.
