Whether you have traits of ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, dyspraxia… There is No ‘one Way’ to Be Neurodivergent
When we talk about neurodivergence, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking there’s a “right” or “real” way to experience it. But there isn’t. Neurodivergence isn’t one thing, one path, or one experience.
Your experience is valid — even if it looks completely different from someone else’s.
For some people, being neurodivergent feels like a superpower:
The creativity, the insight, the deep thinking — all strengths that shine brightly.
And that’s valid.
For others, neurodivergence feels exhausting:
Exhausted from masking. Struggling with systems that weren’t built with you in mind. Constantly working harder to keep up with a world that feels two steps out of reach.
And that’s valid too.
Some people thrive when they get extra support.
Others thrive when they’re simply left alone to do their thing.
Both are real. Both are true.
You’re allowed to feel proud of your brain.
You’re allowed to grieve how hard it can be sometimes.
You’re allowed to feel both things at once.
There’s no “right” way to be ND.
No test you have to pass. No checklist you have to tick.
Your experience is real, valid, and important — no matter what anyone else says.
Whether you see it as a disability, a difference, a gift, or all three —
It’s still real.
It’s still valid.
And so are you.
Let’s stop gatekeeping what it “should” look like to be neurodivergent.
There’s room for every version of the journey.
If this resonated with you…
